Research Grade
Bacteriostatic Water 10ml
Sterile reconstitution solvent
Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% benzyl alcohol in sterile water for injection) is the standard solvent used to reconstitute lyophilised research peptides. The bacteriostatic agent inhibits microbial growth, allowing the reconstituted solution to be stored safely at 4°C for up to 28 days.
- ✓Sterile water for injection with 0.9% benzyl alcohol
- ✓Inhibits microbial growth post-reconstitution
- ✓Allows storage of reconstituted peptides up to 28 days
- ✓10ml multi-dose vial — sealed and sterile
- ✓Compatible with all lyophilised research peptides
Mechanism of Action
Bacteriostatic Water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. Benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial growth by disrupting cell membrane integrity, preventing contamination of reconstituted peptide solutions. It does not affect peptide stability or bioactivity at standard research concentrations.
